Born 1971 in Bucharest, Romania studied composition (with Prof. Aurel Stroe, Dan Dediu, Doina Rotaru), piano (with Prof. Cătălina Popovici, Andrei Podlacha, Ana Pitiș) and organ (with Prof. Lidia Sumnevici) at the National University of Bucharest as well as electroacustic composition (with Prof. Dieter Kaufmann) and music theory (with Prof. Dr. Dieter Torkewitz) at Music University in Vienna.


She wrote two PhDs, in Bukarest (2009) and Vienna (2011). Between 1996-1997 she was a pianist accompanist  at George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest and between 1997-2002 an assistant professor for music analysis and accompaniament at Transilvania University in Brașov/Romania. She also taught piano, organ, and score reading. Between 2000-2002 she played piano in the Armonia Trio. Since 2002 she has lived in Vienna and during 2012-2013 she was a lecturer at Vienna University.


Since 2013 she has been teaching piano and organ at Richard Wagner Conservatory in Vienna.

As a pianist she has performed with the orchestra of the Brașov Philharmonia as well as soloist or as pianist accompanist in Romania, Austria, Czech Republic and Luxembourg.

As an organist she has performed many concerts in historical cathedrals located in Romania and Germany. As a composer, she has received the German Herder Grant and the Austrian Theodor Körner Prize. She has also received the Award of Excellence from the Ministry of Austrian Science and Research for her PhD thesis.


Her compositions are regularly performed in Romania, Austria, Germany, Ireland, USA, and Japan while also having several Radio and TV broadcastings with her works.
