The award-winning saxophonist & bass clarinetist Ulrich Drechsler has been working as a freelance musician & composer in the field of contemporary improvised music and film music both nationally and internationally. His successful projects include the band "Café Drechsler", duets with the pianists Tord Gustavsen and Stefano Battaglia, the Ulrich Drechsler cello quartet, etc. with whom he has performed all over the world. He is under contract at the major label UNIVERSAL MUSIC as well as the renowned German jazz label ENJA YELLOWBIRD. In his workshops and courses, he places special emphasis on the support and development of the artistic individuality and authenticity of the students in addition to the instrumental aspects.
