When is the Vienna Summer Music Festival 2027?
The Opera Institute runs from July 4 to July 28, 2027 and the Instrumental Program from June 27 to July 25, 2027, in Vienna, Austria.
How much does it cost?
The program fee for the Opera Institute is €4,750 ($5,647.75) Early Bird until December 31, 2026; €5,250 ($6,242.25) from January 1, 2027. For the Instrumental Program it is €4,250 ($5,053.25) Early Bird until December 31, 2026; €4,750 ($5,647.75) from January 1, 2027. Both include housing at The Social Hub. You pay in US dollars at a fixed rate of 1.189.
Are scholarships available?
Yes. Every applicant can be considered for a scholarship. Add a 250-500 word essay to your application.
Will I perform a role?
Yes. Every singer accepted to the Opera Institute receives a role and a cover in one of the four 2027 productions, each double-cast and performed with orchestra.
When is the deadline?
March 15, 2027, or earlier if a program fills. Priority is given to those who apply first.
