The Vienna Summer Music Festival’s Choral Symposium is a two-week program designed for aspiring conductors and dedicated choral singers, with a strong emphasis on music education. The program provides conducting fellows podium training with a full choir alongside masterclasses and training. It provides singers with two performance opportunities, a full performance of Mozart’s Requiem and a diverse octavo program as well as workshops on technique, methodology, and pedagogy. Set in the cultural heart of Vienna, the Choral Symposium is more than a festival experience, it is a training ground for the next generation of conductors, educators, and performers.
