Train, perform, and visit one of the world’s great musical capitals (February 24, 2026)

Train, perform, and visit one of the world’s great musical capitals. The Vienna Summer Music Festival invites emerging vocal and instrumental artists to an immersive, performance-driven summer. Participants are selected for rigorous training experiences: all vocal participants perform a named role with the orchestra in fully staged productions, while instrumental participants hold positions in the orchestra and are featured in the various chamber ensemble groups and orchestra concerts. Set in historic Viennese venues, the festival provides daily masterclasses and private lessons/coachings with distinguished artists from the Vienna State Opera, Vienna Volksoper, and Theater an der Wien. All participants gain valuable insight and professional exposure throughout the season from visiting American and European casting directors and agents. Applications are currently open!
