Meet Bonnie Bour, mezzo-soprano

Bonnie Bour is a mezzo-soprano from a tiny town in western Washington, U.S.A. She has been singing all her life in her home, in choirs, and in theater performances. She has also played violin since she was 7 years old. For years now she has been multitasking as a singer and violinist, singing and playing solos as well as performing within ensembles.

She has graduated from New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, ID with her Bachelors in Liberal Arts and Culture alongside a Certificate of Music. She participated in NSA’s Concert Choir and orchestra every year, as well as taking private lessons in voice, violin, piano, and conducting. During her four years in Moscow, she participated in Le Nozze di Figaro as Cherubino under the direction of Dr. Stefan Gordon, The Pirates of Penzance as Edith, as well as abridged performances of The Fiddler on the Roof, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She had the joy of singing the part of “Maria” in Respighi’s Lauda per la Natività del Signore for New Saint Andrew College’s 2024 Christmas Concert, as well as soloing for Cantus Firmus Chorale’s performance of Bach’s Mass in B Minor.

She loves to move people’s hearts with beautiful music, telling stories and expressing things that just can’t be expressed any other way.

This fall she will be attending the University of Denver to pursue a master’s in Vocal Performance.

Come see her perform this July in the Vienna Summer Music Festival!
