Meet Desiree Mattei, violinist

Desiree Mattei is a violinist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Performance at the University of South Florida, where she studies under Dr. Christina Adams. With over eight years of chamber music experience, she brings a strong foundation in both small ensemble and orchestral playing.
She has played in the Pinellas Youth Symphony, Montecito International Music Festival, Winold Music Festival, and has spent six seasons with the Patel Conservatory Chamber Orchestra, where she served as Assistant Concertmaster. These early experiences helped shape her as a collaborative and focused musician, comfortable in both leadership and supportive roles.
Currently, Desiree performs with the University of South Florida Symphony Orchestra, continuing to grow as a performer through a wide range of repertoire and ensemble work. Her playing is attuned to a thoughtful approach to technique, musicality, and connection with both fellow musicians and audiences.

Come see her perform this July in the Vienna Summer Music Festival!
