Meet Kaitlyn Maresca, 20-year-old flutist

Kaitlyn Maresca is a 20-year-old flutist from Houston, Texas, currently pursuing degrees in both Flute Performance and Music Education at the University of North Texas. She studies flute under Professor Terri Sundberg.

Kaitlyn was recently honored with the opportunity to perform with the National Flute Association’s Collegiate Flute Choir in San Antonio, Texas. This selective ensemble highlights some of the nation’s most promising undergraduate flutists. Her commitment to performing also won her a position with the Renova Chamber and Orchestra Festival in New Castle, Pennsylvania, where she broadened her chamber music experience and connected with musicians from around the country. Kaitlyn is a Texas All-State musician and currently performs with the North Texas Wind Orchestra.

As an educator, Kaitlyn has taught private lessons in The Woodlands, Texas area and served as a Flute Section Leader for the UNT Green Brigade Marching Band. She was recognized by the Texas Music Educators Association Executive Board as a TMEA scholarship recipient.
Kaitlyn Maresca is emerging as both a dedicated performer and a future leader in music education. She hopes to inspire and uplift students of all ages through her performance, while continuing to advocate for and share her passion for music education.
