Meet Sohee Park, flutist

Sohee Park is a flutist based in Seoul, South Korea, and she is a thrid-year student at UCLA. Her artistic journey began at Seoul Arts High School, where she earned her High School Diploma, laying the foundation for her musical prowess. Her dedication to the flute is evident in the distinguished master classes she has attended, featuring luminaries such as Denis Bouriakov, Carol Wincenc, David Formisano, Petri Alanko, Catherine Karoly, Yuki Koyama, and more.

Sohee had various ensemble experiences in the Seoul Arts School Orchestra from 2019 to 2021 and the California Orchestra Academy in 2023 with Danko Drusko. These experiences have shaped her into a versatile and collaborative musician.

Sohee won the Prize in the 2024-25 UCLA All-Star Competition,1st prize in the M Music Concours, Eumyoun Concours, Classical Music Magazine, and Han Yae Concours, as well as securing the 3rd prize in the Korean Chamber Orchestra Music Competition. She also won 2nd prize in the Seoul Arts High School Music competition, Yeum Self Evaluation Analysis Music Concours, and Korea Flute Association Concours.

Sohee has performed at the Young Musicians Festival, Yaejin Young Artist Concert and the Seoul Arts High School Young Artist Concert.
